Inside Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco’s family life

With their royal twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques.

For Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco, their children are the centre of their world.

The royal couple, who tied the knot in 2011, welcomed their twins — Princess Gabriella, Countess of Carladès, and Jacques, Hereditary Prince of Monaco — on December 10, 2014.

And since then, both Albert and Charlene have spoken at length about the joys of parenthood. In 2019, Charlene told Point de Vue that while being a mum can be “exhausting” she overall finds it “stimulating in many areas.”

She also revealed that Albert, despite being the reigning sovereign of Monaco, takes the kids to school every single day.

“He spends a lot of time with Jacques and Gabriella and takes care of them as often as he can,” Charlene said of her husband.

Official state visit by French President and wife

On Saturday, June 7, Gabriella and Jacques joined their mother, Princess Charlène, as she received Madame Brigitte Macron, wife of President Emmanuel Macron, in the stunning gardens of Princier Palace.

The French president and first lady are currently on an official state visit to the principality.

Prince Jacques looked dapper in a deep navy suit, while his twin Gabriella looked super sweet in a simple white dress and matching shoes.

The twins’ First Communion

On May 11, 2025, both Gabriella and Jacques received their First Communion.

And the Prince’s Palace of Monaco released a new photo of the twins in honour of the milestone.

The ceremony of The Sainte-Devote in Monaco

The family of four stepped out together for the annual ceremony of The Sainte-Devote on January 26, 2025.

The traditional mass marks the beginning of several celebrations in honour of the patron saint of Monaco and includes a symbolic burning of a boat.

This is a tradition that has taken place each year since 1874.

The family attend the Monaco Christmas tree ceremony

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella attended the traditional Christmas tree ceremony in December 2024.

The event, which is only one part of the Monaco Christmas season celebrations, saw the family of four dressed in their festive wear and handing out toys to children.

Christmas Illuminations at the Place du Casino

Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella officially marked the beginning of Christmas as they launched the Christmas Illuminations at the Place du Casino over the first weekend of December 2024.

In a cute family moment, the four hit a large golden button that resulted in Monte Carlo, the Prince’s Palace, and the Carabinieri barracks all being lit up with festive decorations.

Snuggles at EuroLeague meeting

The whole family attended the EuroLeague meeting between the Roca Team and the Fenerbahçe Istanbul team on February 2, 2024. And little Gabriella adorably snuggled up to mum Charlene during the game.

Ninth birthday

In honour of their ninth birthday, a new official portrait of Gabriella and Jacques was released on December 10, 2023.

What a fashionable family! In November 2023, Charlene, Gabriella and Jacques attended the Monaco National Day — and obviously, the aforementioned official portrait was taken that day.
