Kylie Minogue is officially getting the documentary treatment.
As first reported by The Mirror, the Australian singer just signed a seven-figure deal with Netflix and filming will commence later this year.
It’s said that the untitled documentary will be in the ‘fly-on-the-wall’ style but we presume it will also feature interviews and archival footage to highlight important past moments from Kylie’s impressive career.
Netflix beat out rival streaming giants Apple+ and Disney+ for the rights to a Kylie Minogue documentary, with a source telling The Mirror:

“There was a serious bidding war over this. Kylie’s had an incredible life, from starring in Neighbours to becoming a pop icon and still dominating the charts decades later. She has a massive fanbase so there’s no question it will attract a huge audience. That’s why the offers went so high – everyone’s very excited.”
Kylie first rose to fame in the late 1980s; her role as Charlene Mitchell on Neighbours made her a household name in both Australia and the UK.
In 1987, Kylie transitioned to a music career, signing with Mushroom Records and releasing her debut single, Locomotion.
The song became a massive hit, topping the Australian charts for seven weeks.
Kylie’s success continued when she teamed up with producers Stock Aitken Waterman and released her self-titled debut album in 1988.

The album’s lead single, I Should Be So Lucky, topped charts worldwide, cementing her status as a pop star.
Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Kylie reinvented her musical style and hits like Spinning Around and Can’t Get You Out of My Head reintroduced her to a new generation.
Then, last year, Kylie had a massive career resurgence thanks to her song Padam Padam.
Padam Padam went viral on TikTok, topped charts worldwide and ended up winning the 2024 Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording – Kylie’s second-ever Grammy after she won Best Dance Recording for Come Into My World in 2004.
