And we have to say, all seven Australians up for the nation’s most prestigious award in television have seriously impressive careers!

Get to know them below:

Ally Langdon

Ally Langdon is a respected Australian journalist and television presenter, best known as the host of A Current Affair on the Nine Network. The Wollongong local began her media career on local radio in Wauchope.

She joined Nine in 2001 as a producer before moving into reporting. One of her early assignments included coverage of the 2004 Australian Embassy bombing in Jakarta. She quickly built a reputation for strong on-the-ground reporting, winning the David Marchbank Award for Best New Journalist during her time in Nine’s Darwin newsroom.

Ally is also an author, having written The Child Who Never Was – The Tegan Lane Story in 2008. She is married to fellow journalist Michael Willesee Jr., and they have two children.

She became a 60 Minutes reporter in 2011, covering everything from war zones to volcanoes. In 2020, she joined Today as co-host with Karl Stefanovic, before being appointed the host of A Current Affair in 2023, following Tracy Grimshaw’s departure.

We spoke with Tracy about Ally picking up the baton, and she remarked: “Ally’s nailing it, and I’m not screaming questions at the television. I’m very, very relaxed about all that.”

Hamish Blake

Hamish Blake, the Australian comedian, television presenter, and radio personality, first rose to fame thanks to his radio show Hamish & Andy, which he co-hosted with Andy Lee from 2006 to 2013, and then again from 2015 to 2017.

Beyond radio, Hamish has co-created and starred in shows like Hamish & Andy’s Gap Year and True Story with Hamish & Andy. Since 2019, he has hosted LEGO Masters Australia, which has found a massive fanbase in Australia.

In recognition of his contributions to entertainment and the community, Blake was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2024 King’s Birthday Honours.

He’s considered one of Australia’s funniest comedians, but Hamish Blake is more than that to his wife Zoë Foster Blake.

As Zoë detailed in her book Love!, Hamish is the “right person” for her; the one who makes life easier. Read about their relationship here.

Gold Logie nominee Julia Morris

Julia Morris

After rising to fame in the late 1980s with stand-up comedy and appearances on shows like Full Frontal, Julia went on to become one of the most beloved figures in Australian entertainment.

Today, Julia’s best known as the co-host of the hit reality series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Australia, initially alongside Dr. Chris Brown and then fellow nominee from the 2024 Gold Logies, Robert Irwin. This is Julia’s fourth nomination for a Gold Logie! In four consecutive years:2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025.

In addition to her Gold Logie nominations, Morris has been acknowledged with five Silver Logie nominations for her role in the comedy-drama House Husbands. Despite not securing a win in these categories, she remains a beloved figure in the industry

Lisa Millar

Queensland journalist and television presenter Lisa Millar has been a mainstay in Australian media with a career spanning over 35 years.

She began her journalism journey with a cadetship at The Gympie Times in 1988. She later worked for Brisbane’s The Sun newspaper before transitioning to television with WIN TV in Townsville. In 1993, she joined the ABC, marking the start of a long and impactful tenure from North Queensland correspondent to ABC’s North America Bureau Chief.

In August 2019, Millar became the co-host of ABC News Breakfast, succeeding Virginia Trioli. After five years, she announced her departure from the program in July 2024 to focus on other projects within the ABC, including narrating the phenomenally popular series Muster Dogs and guest presenting on Back Roads.

In 2011, we sat down with Lisa, who bared all on her greatest triumphs and tragedies.

Lynne McGranger

Lynne McGranger is a celebrated Australian actress, best known for her portrayal of Irene Roberts on Home and Away, a role she held for over three decades, making her the longest-serving female cast member in Australian television soap history.

Beyond her television career, Lynne has showcased her versatility as a performer. She has appeared in British pantomimes during the Christmas season and, in 2021, published her memoir Acting Up: Me, Myself and Irene, offering insights into her personal and professional life

Lynee and her Home and Away co-star Ada Nicodemou have an enduring friendship that has evolved beyond Summer’s Bay. The two have collaborated on a breast cancer screening campaign (called Breast Friends, iconic).

Sonia Kruger

Sonia Kruger

Sonia Kruger is a renowned Australian television presenter and media personality with a career spanning over two decades.

Over the years, she’s hosted Dancing with the Stars, Big Brother Australia, The Voice Australia, Australia’s Got Talent and more.

Sonia, a seriously prominent figure in Aussie television, won the Gold Logie in 2023… and was nominated in 2024. Will she do it again this year?

We sat down with Sonia in 2019 to chat about all things dancing and how all women should feel sexy over the age of 50.

Poh Ling Yeow

Poh Ling Yeow is a Malaysian-born Australian chef, artist, television presenter, and author, renowned for her multifaceted career and vibrant personality. Born on December 17, 1973, in Kuala Lumpur, she migrated to Adelaide at age nine. Initially pursuing a career in visual arts, Poh worked as a graphic designer and illustrator before becoming a full-time painter in 2002.

Poh gained national recognition as the runner-up in the inaugural season of MasterChef Australia in 2009. Her engaging presence led to hosting her own cooking shows, including Poh’s Kitchen on ABC (for which she earned a Logie nomination in 2011 for Most Popular New Female Talent) and Poh & Co. on SBS.

She also co-hosted Snackmasters Australia and Adam & Poh’s Malaysia in Australia. In 2023, she returned to MasterChef Australia as a judge alongside Andy Allen, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novelli.

Beyond television, Poh is an accomplished author with four cookbooks and continues to exhibit her artwork.

Poh was our cover star for the Christmas 2024 issue, shot in the incomparable Northern Territory. She opened up about love, loss and learning to move on.
