But with so much choice at your fingertips, it can be hard to know which Christmas films are actually worth watching.
Never fear, we’ve rounded up the best Christmas movies that Disney Plus has to offer. Let the holiday movie marathon begin!

Home Alone
Director: Chris Columbus
Starring: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, Catherine O’Hara
Genre: Comedy, Family
Release: 1990
It’s an absolute Christmas classic. Young Kevin McCallister is accidentally left home alone during the holidays. While his family rushes back from Paris, Kevin must defend his home from two burglars named The Wet Bandits…
This is slapstick comedy at its finest and it’s a film that the whole family will enjoy.

Set a year after the events of the first film, Kevin mistakenly ends up on a different flight to his family and spends Christmas by himself in New York. He also tries to stop The Wet Bandits, who have recently escaped from prison, from robbing a toy store.
This is one of those rare sequels that are just as good as the first; we’d even argue it’s better than the first!

It’s been over 70 years since its release, and yet, Miracle on 34th Street is still one of the best Christmas movies of all time. The Muppet Christmas Carol
Director: Brian Henson
Starring: Michael Caine, Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Family
Release: 1992
Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol has been adapted numerous times but the Muppet version is honestly one of our favourites. It’s ridiculously funny seeing iconic Muppet characters — like Kermit, Miss Piggy and Gonzo — portray classic Dickensian characters, and Sir Michael Caine’s performance as Ebenezer Scrooge is one of the best performances of his entire career.
