Cyndi Lauper is currently on her worldwide Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in 2025, and there’s an Australian leg!

The tour itself is described as “a truly iconic farewell to one of music’s most beloved and influential stars,” meaning the setlist will likely include all of Cyndi’s greatest hits like “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”, “True Colours”, “She’s So Unusual” and “I Drove All Night”.

Where in Australia is Cyndi Lauper bringing her tour?

Cyndi Lauper will kick off the Australian leg of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour in Melbourne before heading to Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, and Perth. 

Australia’s own The Veronicas will join Cyndi as special guests during the leg.

  • April 2, 2025 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
  • April 5, 2025 – Entertainment Centre, Brisbane

How can I get tickets to see Cyndi Lauper?

Tickets to the Australian leg of the Cyndi Lauper Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour will be available exclusively on Ticketek.

The Telstra Plus Pre-Sale starts on October 18, 2024, at 12pm local time and general public tickets go on sale on October 23 at 2pm local time. 

Is Cyndi Lauper retiring?

Cyndi Lauper is not completely retiring however the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour will mark the end of Cyndi performing live. 

However, that won’t be the end of Cyndi. She has been nominated to join the 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Cyndi took to Instagram to share her gratitude for the nomination which came as she was performing in London.

She wrote: “It was amazing news to wake up to after last night’s show at the O2 in London. The audience showed me so much love, like all the audiences have all along this, my Farewell Tour. I am so grateful to my fans for my career. From the start, I’ve just wanted to make music that means something to people, that lifts them up and makes them feel seen. This honor, should I get in, is as much for them as it is for me. Thank you, Rock Hall.”
